Sixth Grade Vocabulary QR Code Activity
This activity is set up somewhat like a scavenger hunt. I made twelve QR codes for definitions of terms for a sixth grade level classroom. I would number and cut out each code and place them in twelve different places around the room.
The students would be divided into groups of 3 to 6, and each group would be given a tablet or smartphone, with a downloaded QR code scanner app. The groups would each start at different numbered codes, and scan each code to see the definition it gives.
Each group is given a worksheet with a word bank and numbers from 1 to 12. Next to each number on the sheet, they are to write down the term of the corresponding numbered QR code that they scanned.
At the end of the activity, the class should review and correct their work together.
